Do you remember when we danced in the rain? Splashing in puddles, our joy unrestrained, You laughed and spun, carefree and wild, And for a moment, we were all just a child. "Mommy, do you remember the time we went camping?" You asked with a smile, your eyes bright and dampening. "We roasted marshmallows and told ghost stories, And when it was time to sleep, we cuddled, safe and cozy." Yes, my dear, I remember it well, The smell of the fire, the sound of the bell, We sang and talked, and made s'mores, And in each other's company, we found rest and more. "Mom, do you remember when we went to the beach?" Your sibling chimes in, eager to beseech. "We built sandcastles, swam in the sea, And watched the sunset, just you and me." Oh, yes, my love, how could I forget? The waves crashing, the seagulls set, We searched for shells, and laughed out loud, And in that moment, nothing else mattered, no cloud. Memories like these are treasures so dear, To keep them close, to hold them near, For they remind us of the love we share, Of the bond that we have, forever rare.
